The bookshop of the iconic Publicis Drugstore on Paris’ Champs Elysees welcomed author Dan Gross and other speakers at a presentation and book signing on the first biography of Edmond J. Safra. Dan Gross talked about the life and legacy of ‘the greatest banker of his generation’. Publicis Chairman Maurice Levy spoke on the philanthropy of Edmond and Lily Safra, both of whom he knew. Professor Alexis Brice, director of the Paris Brain and Spinal Cord Institute, commented on the critical support of the Edmond J. Safra Foundation to establish the leading brain disease research center.
Dr. Caroline Demeret, Director of Research at the Pasteur Institute and of Pasteur-Weizmann, spoke of the importance of the long-term support of the Edmond J. Safra Foundation that enabled the Institute to quickly begin research into COVID-19 when it first appeared.
